by Hina Khan

Review of Kabhi mai kabhi tum Third episode.

“Kabhi Main kabhi Tum” is an intriguing and engaging plot written by Farhat Ishtiaq. Initially the story revolves around three main charaters Emmad Irfani as Adeel, Fahad Mustufa as Mustufa and Hania Amir as Sharjeena. As the story starts, viewers are introduced with a happy wedding ceremony with involvement of Adeel and Sharjeena to be bride and groom. Great performances, a quick-paced plot, and enhanced technical and production details make the first episode impressive. The screen keeps a clean, contemporary aesthetic throughout Fahad Mustafa’s return, making it well worth seeing.

Engaging Plot

The plot quickly moves on to keep the audience engaged and interested while introducing each character, their relationships with one another, and the eventual course of each storyline. Throughout the first two episodes, the theme of family is presented as Mustufa and Sharjeena’s families both show a close bond between them, but eventually the drama took a twist in the story as by the end of the send episode Adeel and Sharjeena got into some tension and conflict. Even though the story isn’t particularly new, it’s easy to watch because of the way it’s been handled and executed by brilliant performances of Hania Amir and Fahad Mustufa.

After a long wait for viewers have seen Fahad Mustufa role palyed as Mustafa, the tech expert/hacker is a happy-go-lucky guy, completely opposite to his serious, mature, established and materialistic brother “Adeel” who is about to marry the sensitive, family oriented and relatively simple Sharjeena.

Fahad Mustafa is making a comeback after 10 years, with his stunning performance. Fahad Mustufa was depicted as spoilt and carefree guy in the beginning but by the third episode he gradually transformed his role into a serious and a responsible son of the family. As Adeel’s family is going through a complicated and traumatic scenario all the responsibility come to Mustufa.  You are instantly reminded of why Fahad Mustafa garnered so much love as an actor. He fits the role like a glove, and you cannot imagine any other actor in Mustufa’s character.

Hania Aamir on the other hand plays a role of Sharjeena, however, her confusion with Mustufa’s expectations and personality is apparent through first two episodes. But as the viewer witnessed she took a bold step as a strong lady who is trying to secure her family reputation. Although she is also a victim of same trauma Adeel’s family is going through but still she decided to marry Mustufa an irresponsible guy, beyond his expectations as a life partner. Viewers can easily judge the changing situations in the plot and interactions. Yet her relationship with her sisters and parents is a greatly positive one.

Apart from the characters performances, the combination of music and sound is very interesting. This attention to detail enhances the visual experience of watching the drama and affects your perception of characters and scenes subconsciously.
