Hira Khan Recalls Casting Scam Experience Involving Inappropriate Audition Request

Showbiz starlet Hira Khan recently opened up about her disturbing experience with a casting scam, where a director asked her to attend an audition late at night, wearing revealing clothes. In an interview with a digital magazine, Khan recounted the unsettling incident while she was working on the hit drama Mere Humsafar.

Khan shared that a coworker had informed her about a casting call for a project by a well-known director. “I asked her for the contact information because that’s typically how things work—you share your portfolio and get work,” she explained.

However, the process quickly became suspicious. “I messaged him, and instead of asking for my previous work, he just asked for two pictures and said, ‘We’ll record the audition and casting will be done based on that.’”

Initially, Khan was agreeable and suggested scheduling the audition for 3 p.m. the next day. To her shock, the director insisted on a private audition at 11 p.m., attended only by him and the producer. He also requested that she wear a sleeveless, cropped top with shorts for the audition.

Khan immediately refused, responding, “I don’t wear such revealing clothes on screen,” and ended the conversation. She later found out from a colleague that the casting call had been a scam.

On the professional front, Hira Khan recently played the lead role of Sara in the drama Woh Pagal Si and earned praise for her portrayal of Roomi in the widely acclaimed series Mere Humsafar.
