Bollywood A-lister Kareena Kapoor Khan has made headlines once again, this time for her candid stance on aging and cosmetic enhancements. In a recent interview with an Indian magazine, the 44-year-old actress expressed her belief that she doesn’t need Botox or other artificial treatments to look good for her age, emphasizing her preference for natural self-care.
Kareena, who has been a part of Bollywood for over two decades, shared her thoughts on the growing trend of cosmetic procedures to counteract aging. “From the beginning, I was confident that my talent and dedication would ensure I continued to get work,” she said. “I took care of myself, stayed fit, and focused on being the best version of myself.”
For Kareena, self-care goes beyond physical appearance. “Self-care means taking time for myself, whether it’s spending quality moments with friends, cooking with Saif [Ali Khan – her husband], or simply enjoying a workout,” she explained. “It’s about feeling great, whether that’s through fitness routines or just being with my family. Nourishing my soul with a good meal, a heartfelt chat, or a bottle of wine is essential for me.”
The Jab We Met star also shared her thoughts on aging gracefully. “Age is a part of beauty. It’s not about fighting lines or trying to look younger; it’s about embracing and loving the age you’re at. I’m 44 and have never felt better,” Kareena stated.
When asked about cosmetic enhancements, she was firm in her stance: “I don’t feel the need for Botox or any cosmetic treatments. My husband finds me sexy, my friends say I look amazing, and my films are thriving. I play roles that reflect my age and am proud of it. I want people to see me for who I am and appreciate that.”
On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s latest film and her debut as a producer, The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta, hit theaters on Friday, September 13.
