Release of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal Starrer ‘Love & War’ Postponed to March 2026
The much-anticipated Bollywood film Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, has had its release date pushed back. Initially slated for a Christmas 2025 premiere, the film will now hit theaters on March 20, 2026, according to Indian media reports.
Sources close to the production revealed that the decision was strategic, with filmmakers eyeing the long holiday season in India, which includes Ramazan, Ram Navami, and Gudi Padwa, to maximize box office potential.
The film, officially announced by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in January 2024, was highly anticipated from the start. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production house shared the news on Instagram, with a poster showcasing the signatures of Kapoor, Bhatt, and Kaushal, captioned: “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga Love & War. See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.”
Love & War is said to be a legacy project, according to reports from Pinkvilla. The film is mounted on a massive budget and promises to be a visual extravaganza, combining intense romance, music, drama, action, and emotions. Jio Studios, which is producing the film, reportedly considers it their most ambitious project yet, partnering with Bhansali for a mega-deal.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Jigra, which is set to premiere on October 11, 2024. The recently released teaser showcases Bhatt in a bold, action-packed role, as she sets out to free her brother from prison, building excitement among her fans.
As Love & War continues to build buzz, fans will have to wait a little longer to witness the star-studded epic on the big screen.
