Renowned Marathi Actor Atul Parchure Passes Away at 57 After Battling Cancer

Atul Parchure, a prominent actor in the Marathi film industry and known for his appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show, passed away on Monday at the age of 57 after a two-year battle with cancer. Sources close to the family confirmed that he took his last breath earlier today. Parchure is survived by his mother, wife, and daughter, who have requested privacy during this difficult time.

Parchure was widely admired for his resilience and determination during his illness. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, he fought bravely and returned to the stage earlier this year with a few shows of the Marathi play Suryaachi Pille. However, his health deteriorated over the last few weeks, and he spent his final days at the H N Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Beginning his career in 1985 with the Marathi film Khichdi, Atul Parchure became a household name thanks to his comic talent in both the Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries. In Hindi television, he rose to fame with his roles in shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, R K Laxman Ki Duniya, and Comedy Circus. His extensive body of work includes notable Marathi plays and films such as Vasu Chi Sasu, Navra Majha Navsacha, Priyatama, and Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka.

In Bollywood, Parchure appeared in films like Salaam-E-Ishq, Partner, All the Best, Khatta Meetha, Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap, and Brave Heart. In 2017, he worked in the Marathi play Niyam Va Ati Lagu, directed by Girish Mohite.

The news of his passing has left the entertainment industry and his fans mourning the loss of a beloved actor whose career spanned nearly four decades. His contributions to both Marathi and Hindi cinema will be remembered fondly.
