Bollywood Star Salman Khan Unable to Sleep Since Friend Baba Siddique’s Passing
Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has reportedly been struggling to sleep since the untimely death of his close friend and politician, Baba Siddique, earlier this month. Siddique, a respected figure in Mumbai’s political landscape, was tragically killed in a shooting by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, allegedly due to his close ties with Khan.
Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late politician and an MLA, recently shared insights into the support he’s received from Khan, describing the actor as a constant source of strength during this challenging time. “Salman bhai has been deeply affected by this. My father and Salman shared a bond like brothers, and he’s been very upset since my father’s passing. He’s supported me immensely and always checks up on me. He hasn’t been able to sleep properly at night, and he often speaks to me about these things,” Zeeshan said.
Reflecting on the community’s support, Zeeshan added, “I don’t see my father’s friends as celebrities. When someone is a regular at your home, they’re more like family. So, Salman Khan and others are not just stars but family members to us.”
The tragic event unfolded on October 12, outside Zeeshan’s office in Kher Nagar, Bandra, when three Bishnoi gang shooters fired at the senior Siddique. He was immediately taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared dead. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde later confirmed the unfortunate news.
The shooting has shaken Bollywood and political circles alike, with Khan’s profound grief reflecting the deep friendship he shared with the politician.
