Hamza Firdous, son of veteran actor Firdous Jamal, has recently responded to his father’s public claims, where the actor said he had left his family and that they were “happier without him.” The interview stirred up discussion, prompting Hamza to share his mother’s perspective on their family’s challenges.
“As a son, I prefer to keep personal matters private,” Hamza remarked, “but since my father has made our family issues public, it’s only fair I share my side.” Hamza disclosed that his mother had taken Khula (a form of divorce) from Firdous Jamal after 35 years of marriage. “No woman would make such a decision lightly,” he said, underscoring the resilience his mother displayed throughout years of hardship. “She endured a complicated relationship, surviving through pain and hardship in the hope that things would improve, but unfortunately, they did not,” he shared.
Touching on the subject of his father’s cancer treatment, Hamza expressed that the illness had a profound impact on the family. He recounted their collective efforts to care for Firdous Jamal, despite his father’s recent claims suggesting a lack of support. “We did everything we could for him during his illness, but it felt like our efforts were in vain,” he reflected.
Hamza also hinted at some of his father’s personal flaws, acknowledging that while Firdous Jamal may have been a good person, his shortcomings had deeply affected the family dynamic. Emphasizing the family’s continued desire for privacy, Hamza concluded, “My father has chosen his path, living life on his terms.”
