Coke Studio’s popular hit, Piya Piya Calling, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a nomination for Song of the Year at Norway’s esteemed P3 Gold Awards, marking an impressive step for Pakistani music on the international stage.

Produced by Coke Studio Season 15’s curator Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, known as Xulfi, Piya Piya Calling has captivated audiences worldwide with its dynamic fusion of cultural elements, irresistible beats, and an iconic collaboration with the renowned dance group Quick Style. Founded by Norwegian-Pakistani twins and their Norwegian-Thai friend, Quick Style’s participation added a distinct cross-cultural flavor to the song, which resonated widely in both Pakistan and Norway.

Xulfi took to Instagram to share the exciting news, expressing gratitude for the song’s reception and acknowledging the influence of P3, Norway’s leading radio station. “We didn’t know this timeline could exist in our lives,” he commented, thanking fans for their overwhelming support.

The track brought together an extraordinary ensemble, including Norway’s popular duo Karpe, singer Delara, and Pakistan’s rising star Kaifi Khalil. The multilingual production and rhythmic fusion quickly made Piya Piya Calling a fan favorite, amassing over 14 million views on YouTube and leaving a lasting impact across continents.

This global appeal of Piya Piya Calling extends further, as it’s also one of three Coke Studio tracks submitted for a Grammy nomination in the Best Global Music Performance category. Xulfi encouraged fans to show their support by voting, celebrating the collaboration as a testament to art’s ability to transcend borders and connect people worldwide through music.
