Nimra Khan Criticizes Modern-Day Hijab Trends

Celebrated Pakistani actress Nimra Khan recently appeared on Adnan Faisal’s podcast, hosted by 365 Digital, where she expressed her thoughts on the latest hijab trends. During the podcast, Khan candidly shared her views on law and order, her personal experience with kidnapping, and the lessons she learned after portraying Umm-e-Ayesha, a hijabi character in her latest drama.

Reflecting on the modern-day hijab styles, Nimra said, “I pray to Allah SWT to guide me to the righteous path as well, but I don’t understand the new hijab trend where half of your hair is still visible.” She emphasized that the hijab should be worn fully and not just as a fashion statement, criticizing the way it has become increasingly commercialized in recent times.

Nimra went on to applaud fellow actress Zarnish Khan, commending her decision to step away from the media industry after choosing to observe the hijab. “I know that some people have to make a living and be in the media, but I truly respect Zarnish’s decision,” Nimra said, highlighting Zarnish’s full commitment to her choice.

Throughout the conversation, Nimra emphasized the importance of following the hijab in its true spirit and avoiding superficiality when it comes to religious practices.
