Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant Issued for Sahil Adeem Over Derogatory Remarks Against Women

A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued for Pakistani public speaker and social media influencer Sahil Adeem, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV on Friday.

The warrant stems from a case filed against Adeem at the City Court police station in Karachi. He has failed to appear in court on the assigned date, prompting the court to order his arrest and ensure his presence by September 24.

The case was filed by PPP lawmaker Marvi Faseeh, following Adeem’s derogatory remarks about women during a Samaa TV show Mukalma, co-hosted by controversial screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Ayesha Jehanzeb. Adeem caused widespread outrage by stating that “95 per cent of women in the country are ‘jahil’ (ignorant).” His comments sparked a strong reaction, with Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar supporting Adeem’s stance during the show when challenged by audience member Azba Abdullah.

In response, Marvi Faseeh submitted a resolution under Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 124 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, 2013, condemning Adeem’s comments. The resolution describes his remarks as a grave insult to Pakistan’s religious, social, and legal values, calling for legal action against the self-proclaimed motivational speaker.

The resolution is expected to be tabled in the upcoming Sindh Assembly session, where Faseeh will push for further legal measures against Sahil Adeem.
