Yo Yo Honey Singh Expresses Desire to Perform in Pakistan, Pays Tribute to Pakistani Artists

Indian Punjabi rapper and musician Yo Yo Honey Singh has expressed his wish to perform in Pakistan, sharing his hopes of entertaining fans across the border soon.

During the 2024 IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi, Singh was asked about his large Pakistani fanbase while walking the red carpet. In a viral video circulating on social media, Singh conveyed a heartfelt message to his fans in Pakistan: “Pray that I get to perform in Pakistan soon.”

Singh also spoke about his deep admiration for several renowned Pakistani artists, saying, “I love Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Ali Azmat, Atif Aslam, Sanam Marvi, and many others.” He acknowledged the impact of their music on his own career and expressed a desire to connect with the Pakistani audience directly.

Singh, who has been performing in Dubai for the last 12 years, noted that many of his Pakistani fans attend his concerts there. However, he also acknowledged that those unable to travel to Dubai are eager for him to perform in Pakistan itself.

Confirming his upcoming plans, Singh revealed, “I am heading to the UK for the first time next year, and if time allows, I would love to come to Pakistan to perform.”

Earlier this month, Singh opened up about his spiritual journey, reflecting on a transformative period in his life in 2007 when he explored Islamic teachings through Sufi scholars and spiritual leaders in Mohali, Punjab. This experience, he shared, deepened his understanding of Islam and influenced his perspective on faith.

Reflecting on his struggles, Singh admitted that after rising to fame in 2012, he lost his way but has since reconnected with his faith after recovering from illness in 2018, grounding him once more in his belief in God.

Fans in both India and Pakistan are eagerly waiting to see if Yo Yo Honey Singh will make his long-awaited debut performance in Pakistan soon.
