Nida Yasir talks about her Rs1 million wedding costs from two decades ago
Renowned Pakistani showbiz personality and morning show host Nida Yasir recently shared intimate details about her wedding during a guest appearance on Faisal Qureshi’s podcast.
In the candid conversation, Nida, who has been a prominent figure in morning shows for over 15 years, revealed that her wedding was a luxurious affair but modest by today’s standards. She mentioned that only three events were held for her wedding, which took place 22 years ago.
Detailing the wedding expenses, Nida said the total cost of the events at her mother’s house was 1 million rupees. “On the first day, there was a Milad followed by a Mayun ceremony. The Mehndi and Baraat took place on the following days,” she explained, adding that the Walima was hosted by her husband Yasir Nawaz’s family, who covered those expenses.
Nida also reflected on the evolution of wedding trends, noting that when she first started hosting, wedding-related content was highly popular among audiences. However, she acknowledged that preferences have shifted over time.
For the unversed, Nida and Yasir Nawaz tied the knot in 2002, and they share three children.
