Asif Raza Mir Stops Airing of ‘Ishq Na Poochay Zaat’ Amid Rs 6.24 Crore Payment Row

The Trade Mark Tribunal has issued a stay order preventing the airing of the drama Ishq Na Poochay Zaat following a non-payment dispute, as reported by 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday. The order was granted at the request of the drama’s producer, Asif Raza Mir.

During the hearing, Asif Raza Mir revealed that Oriental Entertainment had commissioned him to produce the 52-episode drama, each with a runtime of 36 minutes. The total payment of Rs 6.24 crore was to be made upon the completion of the drama, but the amount remains unpaid, leading to significant financial losses for Mir.

The tribunal granted Mir’s request to halt the drama’s airing until the payment is made, and Oriental Entertainment has been asked to submit a reply by October 8th, when the hearing will continue.
