Urvashi Rautela Picks Naseem Shah as Her Favourite Pakistani Cricketer at IIFA 2024
Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has once again found herself in the spotlight after she named young Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah as her favourite cricketer during an appearance at IIFA 2024. A video of the actress responding to the question has since gone viral on social media.
In the viral clip, Urvashi is seen walking the red carpet when a reporter asks her about her favourite Pakistani cricketer. Without hesitation, she responded, “They have a good team. Naseem is good.” Her comment has reignited online discussions, with fans recalling her past admiration for the young fast bowler.
The actress first caught attention last year when she wished Naseem Shah a happy 20th birthday and congratulated him on receiving an honorary DSP rank. While the cricketer’s social media account thanked her, Naseem later revealed in an interview that he was unaware of the post, as he doesn’t personally manage his social media accounts.
Earlier this year, Urvashi fueled further social media speculation when she shared a fan-made video featuring herself and Naseem Shah. The clip, which was edited to show both stars smiling at each other, went viral.
When asked about the video at the time, Naseem clarified that he had no knowledge of who Urvashi Rautela was, stating, “I perform on the field and people send such videos. I have no idea about it.”
Despite the cricketer’s nonchalant response, fans continue to enjoy the back-and-forth between the two stars, and Urvashi’s latest comment has only added fuel to the fire of speculation.
